Yellowstone National Park August 2015

On our way to Yellowstone National Park!

It was a very long drive. Luckily we made it with minimal fighting and tears.

DAY 1:
We got to the Grand Teton's and started setting up camp. It was still light out so we decided to try and get one hike in before the sun went down. We went to Jenny Lake to hike around it and just our luck it started raining and the rangers said no hiking. So we went back to camp to have dinner and get some good restrict.

DAY 2:

Time to get hiking in Yellowstone!!

First we went to the lodge at Old Faithful, unfortunately the carved bear is the only bear we saw at Yellowstone. To be honest I think Old Faithful is boring and not really worth the time, but it's just something you have to do.

After Old Faithful we went to Biscuit Bison. There were the prettiest pools. We checked out the pools and geysers for a while and then headed off to hike. We hiked up to Mystic Falls. the view was so breath taking and beautiful!

Summer Field Trip: Braums Tour

Logan's sister Dina stopped in Oklahoma on her move from New Jersey to Nebraska. It was so fun to see Dina, Josh, Max, Tate, and Hope!
These triplets are SO much fun!

Remington wanted to get in on the night time feeding so he grabbed his sippy  cup and laid down with them. It was the cutest!!

On July 2, 2015 went on a tour of the Braums factory. If you haven't heard, their ice cream is the BEST!!! The tour was just okay, we did learn that Braums makes their own ice cream cones and their own milk jugs. Pretty cool stuff! We got a big group picture after in front of the cow bus.
(Karl, Kathy, James, Shawnee, Asher, Kara, Karri, Grant, Cheri, Christine, Tate, Tatyanna, Darcy, Payton, Leah, Isla, Emmy, Hope, Dina, Ann Marie, Nathan, Nichole, Striling, Josh, Remington, Max, Matthew, Kylie, and Logan)

Much love Tatyanna

Summer Field Trip: Turner Falls

On 6/4/15 we went to Turner Falls. It is one of my favorite State Parks in Oklahoma! It is green and lush and oh so beautiful! A little background on Turner Falls before I get to the details of our trip. I pulled this from their website (www.turnerfallspark.com),

"Turner Falls Park is nestled below the famous Arbuckle Mountains
and forms Honey Creek, which then cascades down a
seventy-seven (77) foot fall to a natural swimming
pool making the majestic Turner Falls the largest
waterfall in Oklahoma. The Park has been a
recreational area since 1868 as it is accented
with beautiful picnic areas, nature trails, caves,
geological wonders, and two natural swimming
pools very unique in nature."

Unfortunately the waterfall was closed due to flooding. We were fortunate enough to have my sis-in-law Karri join us from Texas (YAY!!!). When we got to Turner Falls we changed into our swimsuits and hit the river, the kids enjoyed floating down the river.

[My sister Shayne and nephew Stirling]

[Remington and Asher like the rocks best.]

[Hollis chilling by Granny.]

[Me and Asher]

After we played in the water for awhile we had lunch and then set off to hick up to the castle ruins. Although Remingon decided he didn't want to walk so I ended up having to carry both babies. Oh the joys of mamahood!

[Hollis riding in the backpack.]

[Remington playing in the castle, he loved it so much.]
[cousins]

[Remington chilling on his pool floaty.]

[We LOVE Granny!!]

We had a lot of fun and can't wait for our next field trip! Until then y'all should check out Turner Falls!
